Trampolines R Tangerine "Lazy on the Metro"

TRT is myself (Tom Thump) and Thomas Fokas (DJ Stink). I tend to hate most mash ups because they so often one bad song combined with another that's worse! Love Metro Area (Muira) and love (admittedly, in a corny way) Doug Lazy (Let the Rhythm Pump). They came together pretty perfectly.

Ty w/ Tony Allen "The Willing" (Tom Thump Re Edit)

Great track with incredible Tony Allen (of Fela fame) on percussion. Loved the original especially the horns. So, I doubled up on those and got rid of the annoying blathering intro on the original.

Playgroup w/ KC Flightt "Front2Back" (Tom Thump Extended Edit)

When is Trevor Jackson gonna do another Playgroup record! Let's all go bang on his door and demand one. What an amazing album it was. Took the Mantronix bit and put it and the start and made a few more cheeky changes.

Corrina Joseph with Michael Watford "Baby, I'm Scared of You"

This track features Basement Jaxx vocalist Corrina Joseph and house music crooner Michael Watford parlaying a solid version of Womack & Womack's 80's killer "Baby, I'm Scared of You". Tried to licensee this for the MIDNIGHT SOUL series on Kinkysweet Records. But, could not find the label, or release anywhere online. So hear it is!

Bottle - Whole Damm Thing....

Been after this for a while, not a lot of info on this one yet, I might have to come in a day or with some background on who they are and from where they come.... Bloodfire's their name and this fine re-work of the Gill Scott Heron Classic comes from Vol. Six of their release's under this name. I'm pretty sure they are also doing stuff under another name, bare with me, I'll be back with more detail - in the mean time enjoy this..

Needs a good posting I think, I don't normally like to stick to much new stuff up as I believe we should by the new ones and share the old ones.
However, this one can be the exception to the rule.

Ghetto Boy

This album was originally released in May 2005 and i was lucky enough to be given a new vinyl copy a few weeks ago by the boys at R & S in Melbourne (on clear vinyl no less). The first track I have chosen for the blog is from the remix album from Atlantic records "ATLANTIQUITY" its a remix of one of my favorite Donny Hathaway tracks "Little Ghetto Boy" first released by Donny on ATCO as a single in 1972 and here remixed by Freddie Luster specially for this album, it runs just over 5 mins 30 and should be played from start to finish, feel free to kick your slippers off move the coffee table out of the way and enjoy!
